We are an open, friendly church community that welcomes all Christians to full participation without regard to gender, age, marital status, economic status, sexual orientation, disability, race or cultural heritage.
Our congregation was founded on Easter Sunday in 1865. St. Mark's is blessed with a rich heritage and a history of leadership both in the city of Charleston and in the Episcopal Church of South Carolina.
Our Motto
We welcome you in the Name of the Lord! To all who feel joy and wish to celebrate, To all who are weary and need to meditate, To all who feel sorrow, pain, loneliness and despair, This church assures you that Almighty God cares. To all who are seeking the Lord Jesus today, St. Mark's doors are open, as you meet God to pray.
