Meet Acolyte Zachariah Wallace-Wright

Zach Wallace-Wright is one of the younger members of our church. He and his mom, Kristin, joined Saint Mark’s a couple of years ago and both were confirmed by +Bishop Skip Adams earlier this year.

Born in New Hampshire, Zach lived in Syracuse, NY before moving to Charleston when he was a young boy. A resident of Mount Pleasant, Zach attends the Academic Magnet High School in North Charleston and will be graduating this year. In the Fall, Zach will be heading to Boston where he’ll attend Tufts University.

For a young man of 17, Zach has a wide range of interests and accomplishments. He runs cross country, plays football and wrestles. In addition to sports, Zach plays the piano.

He has a keen interest in politics, having worked the phones for the last Presidential campaign. For pleasure, he loves to read and counts John Grisham’s legal thrillers as some of his favorite books.

Last year, Zach attained his Eagle Scout designation. He is particularly proud of this accomplishment as both his stepfather and his grandfather were Eagle Scouts.

Zach finds Saint Mark’s to be a warm and welcoming community. He enjoys the Sunday Eucharist and appreciates the spiritual journey. He serves as acolyte with faithful understanding, dedication, and excellence.

He has stated with love, “Saint Mark’s makes me happy!”
