Lending a Blessed Hand

Saint Mark’s will once again be hosting brunch for the families who are staying at the Ronald McDonald House during their children’s medical treatment.  Quarterly, we will prep and serve brunch on Saturdays, from 8:30-12:30.  If you are interested in volunteering please contact Gin Waters 843-697-0009 or Ellen Linder 803-622-9084.

Also, save your pop tabs and bring them to St. Mark’s (there is a container on the table in the Narthex).  To many, a pop tab is just a piece of aluminum, but to the Ronald McDonald House of Charleston the tab from each can is a valuable resource.  Collected pop tabs are recycled; generating much-needed funds to support the House and the more than 800 families that they serve each year!

Feeding Of The Multitude

This is an annual event sponsored by the local faith communities that takes place each November in downtown Philip Simmons Park (Formerly known as Mall Park - 68 Columbus Street).  Each year volunteers from Saint Mark’s join up with others to serve up free food, entertainment, and gently used clothes to those in the community who need it most.

Charleston Area Justice Ministry

In 2014 St. Mark’s entered into its covenant with the Charleston Area Justice Ministry (CAJM), an affiliate of DART. DART is a national faith-based organization dedicated to fighting for justice in our communities.

Through CAJM many strides continue to be made in the areas of education, police reform, housing, et. al. If you are interested in joining with us in this ministry or learning more about it you may contact Minerva T. King at (843) 452-6283.
